Choosing Veterinary Medicine as a career is no small feat. PVC is here to help you earn that acceptance letter.
Our main goal is to get into veterinary school. We aim to participate in at least one community service event per semester.
Our members have varied interests within the veterinary profession. PVC supports its members by offering access to exclusive internships, unique volunteer opportunities, and diverse animal experience hours. Our club offers networking through clinics, farms, and other avenues. We understand the importance of diversity of experience when applying for veterinary school.
We meet about once every other week to discuss various networking opportunities, volunteer hours, veterinary experience, and animal experience. We also hold at least one lecture per semester that is relevant to the typical pre-vet student (i.e. admissions, job security, large animal medicine, small animal medicine, exotics, etc.)
We typically host one wet lab per semester. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a wet lab is, it is essentially a "hands on" lecture/lab set up. So far we have hosted multiple suture labs, equine health labs, and a spay/neuter lab.
Please contact us with any questions about how to get involved. You can view our NinerEngage page, Instagram, or email us for any additional information. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!
